Al Shines, a former king of the US race-car track circuit, decides to form his own team when he is fired by his sponsor and replaced by his estranged, immature daughter, Kylie, but when the sponsor tries to exploit her on and off the track, Shines steps into ground her swelling ego by challenging her and her superstar boyfriend to a once-in-a-lifetime race.
